Are your customers telling you the whole truth?
Since being introduced in 2012, GuildQuality Maps has been one of our most popular features. Today, we’re happy to announce a slew of new features to make your maps even more engaging and easier to use.
Maps has been rebuilt to work better with responsive web designs. This means that the new map does not require you to choose a fixed size, it will expand to fit the HTML container it is embedded inside of on your website. If the window size changes, the map will change sizes to continue fitting in with your design.
We’re also showing more content on your map. We’re now showing all project locations including any historical projects you may have uploaded. We also display any available project photos along with written feedback. People that are viewing the map have a handy set of filters that allow them to display either All Projects, Projects with Feedback, or Projects with Images so that they can quickly find the content that is most meaningful to them.
Finally, we’ve got two great new display options. By default, projects will be displayed by pins that appear all at once when the map is loaded. If you’d like to spruce up the display of these pins though you can choose between the new “Cluster” or “Animate” options. This choice is available when you click “Marketing -> Profile” to locate the embed code that you will use to display the map on your site. The Cluster option allows the display of up to 2500 map points, all other options display 500. Here’s what those options look like:
Here’s how the Cluster option works:
And here’s how the Animate option looks:
If you’re using the previous version of the map, they will continue to function just as they always have. To upgrade to the new maps, just click “Marketing -> Profile” and scroll down to find the code you’ll need and replace the old code on your website with the new.
